I Hate These Names: By Shmuel Sackett

Hooray – the war has a name!

Whoops, I just made a major mistake. It is not a "war", it is a "campaign". (How terrible of me!)

So let me rewrite that opening sentence:

Hooray – the campaign has a name!

    Campaign Pillar of Defense.

Actually, the name in Hebrew is a bit different. In Hebrew the campaign is being called "Amood Anan" (Pillar of Cloud) which is a direct quote from our Holy Torah:

"Hashem went before them by day with a pillar of cloud.. by night it appeared as a pillar of fire.. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire at night never left.." (Exodus 13:21-22)

So here's my question: Why call this war – whoops, there I go again – why call this campaign "Pillar of Cloud"? Wouldn't "Pillar of FIRE" be a much better name?

Yes, it would and that is exactly the problem.

The present Israeli leadership doesn't want a fire. They want an action movie. That is why the names of the recent IDF actions sound more like a James Bond movie than anything else.

In 2006 Israel launched three "operations" against Hezbollah: (Question – What is more serious; a campaign or an operation? I'm so confused!)

Operation Just Reward, Operation Sharp and Smooth and Operation Changing Direction. (Note: I am not making this stuff up!)

From 2006 to the present time, Israel launched four operations against Hamas in Gaza:

Operation Summer Rains, Operation Autumn Clouds (there are those clouds again), Operation Hot Winter and Operation Cast Lead.

And now – in 2012 – we have upgraded (I think) to Campaign Pillar of Defense. Wow, I'm impressed!

Actually, I am not impressed, I am embarrassed and ashamed.

Hamas shoots 250 rockets into Israel in the last 72 hours, kills 3 holy Jews and injures and traumatizes scores of others and we are busy with politically correct names.

I am further ashamed by the official IDF spokesperson, Lt Col Avital Leibovich who spoke to the media today and said a lot of things but never mentioned the word "Victory" or "War".

Her presentation was carefully worded and she spoke about the great lengths the IDF is taking to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza.

I am sorry but I don't get impressed by an army whose priority is preventing civilian casualties to the enemy.

Truthfully, I want Gaza to look like Berlin did in 1945 and I will not lose one moment of sleep if that miracle actually took place.

Two sirens have already been sounded in Tel Aviv and missiles are flying everywhere.

The Israeli leadership needs to answer some very serious questions, very quickly:

Does this land really belong to us? If so – DEFEND IT PROPERLY or hand over the reins of leadership to those who would!

What concerns you more; the safety of your citizens or what the world is saying about you? Thus far – Israel's leaders have answered that question incorrectly!

Do you want to solve this problem once-and-for-all or just put a band-aid on the bleeding?

In short; do you want to WIN or just land a few punches?

For the last few days I have been writing articles like this and ending each one with an appeal to help the political campaign of Moshe Feiglin for Likud Knesset member.

In case you had any doubts, the connection is clear.

Moshe is not running for the Knesset because he is a professional politician or interested in a nice cushy job.

He wants to enter the Knesset and very shortly after that lead Israel on a new path.

His ideology and vision is one of Jewish pride and Jewish strength.

His goal is to turn Israel from the state of the Jews into the Jewish State and to never – and I mean NEVER – apologize to the world why we are here and building our country.

If you identify with these dreams then I ask you to support Moshe's candidacy for Likud Knesset member.

Please CLICK HERE and bring us closer to ending the present nightmare of weakness.

Am Yisrael Chai – now and forever!!!

    With Love of Israel,

    Shmuel Sackett

Yitzchak Meir Helfgot and Lipa wearing his Talis and a white Chazan hat come up on stage and join Mordechai Ben David who is singing his Moshiach song. MBD surprised about Lipa's outfit laughs and wishes him "A Git Pirim!" Although it does not look so organized, it still looks like they had their fun on stage. JERUSALEM (JTA) -- A rocket fired from Gaza struck the metropolitan Tel Aviv area.

The rocket fell in Holon on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv, according to reports, after warning sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak on Thursday evening.  It was the first time since the Gulf War in 1990 that a warning siren was sounded in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, according to reports.

There was no damage or injuries, Ynet reported. Islamic Jihad reportedly took responsibility for the attack, which came two hours after two rockets struck Rishon Lezion, located about 10 miles south of Tel Aviv.

More than 140 rockets fired from Gaza have struck southern Israel since the assassination of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari on Wednesday evening.

Since 3 years, Tsahal pizza works every week and in every part of the country.
It all started in 2009 when a few volunteers and Henri Sebbane, decided to show their gratitude towards IDF soldiers based in Judean and Samaria regions. Soon, this action became known by hundreds of soldiers and many requests to get pizzas and packages arrived every day from dozens of units. A few months later, one of Tsahal Pizza’s leader family members was killed in an ambush
which took place in the Gaza strip. Major Eliraz Perets (right) was the leader of the Golani Unit 12:

    http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Terrorism-+Obstacle+to+Peace/Memorial/2010/Victims/Eliraz_Peretz.htm

He was the father of 4 children and his eldest brother had already been killed 10 years earlier in an ambush made by the Hezbollah on the Lebanese border. And it is in his memory that we have decided the whole Tsahal Pizza project. During the week of mourning (shiva) we went with Eliraz’s (z’’l) wife and children in his IDF base to distribute hundreds of packages to his unit (photo below).

Since then, we go on a regular basis to this Golani unit to distribute them pizzas and packages. We also distribute to Givati, Tsanhanim, Kfir and Givati as well as to the border police unit.

To be able to answer all the requests, we need your generosity. Just look at the smiles of these soldier boys and girls when we come to deliver them goodies. All this is made possible thanks to you.

IDF Kills Hamas's 'Military' Chief, Launches Major Operation

Ahmed Jaabari, the head of Hamas's military wing, was killed. Hamas: 'This is open war.' Missiles on Ashkelon.
    Gil Ronen
    November 14, 2012

The IAF fired a missile at a car in Gaza Wednesday, killing the commander of Hamas's "military" terror wing, Ahmed Jaabari. Israel's TV Channel 2 says his son was also killed.

There are reports that Raed al-Atar, Commander of Hamas's southern division, has also been killed.

Hamas responded by saying that it was now in a state of "open war" with Israel with no date set for its end.

The IAF reportedly also struck targets in Khan Younes and Rafiah. Channel 2 said that the IAF has been striking launch silos for Hamas's longer-range Fajr rockets, which can hit central Israel, in order to preclude their use. About 20 reinforced silos holding Fajr-3 and Fajr-5 silos were reportedly hit.

Nine people have been killed in Gaza, according to reports.

The IDF has begun a wide scale operation, which has been named "Amud Anan," a phrase that refers to the column-shaped cloud that led the Israelites in Sinai during the Exodus from Egypt. The official English name is Pillar of Defense.

Terror missiles have reportedly been fired at Sderot and Ashkelon. There have been no reports of casualties.

Egypt's response to the events is not yet known. Hamas is saying that the "new Egypt" under Mohammed Morsi must withdraw from the Camp David accords with Israel and expel Israel's ambassador in Cairo.

Among other exploits, Ahmed Jaabari, 52, was personally responsible for the abduction and holding of IDF Sgt. Gilad Shalit. Raed al-Atar was in charge of Hamas's smuggling tunnels. He was released from jail in Israeli in 1995.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak appear to have purposely diverted attention away from Gaza by visiting northern Israel and publicly discussing the Syrian threat Wednesday, in order to make it easier to catch the Hamas off guard.

The IDF Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, announced on his Facebook page that "A harsh blow has landed upon Hamas's command and control array, as the IDF hit Ahmed Jaabari, the head of the military wing of Hamas in Gaza, who headed the organization and dealt directly with carrying out terror attacks against Israel.

"We are at the beginning of a wide scale attack, in view of the unbearable situation of the residents of the South," he added.

"While we are not talking about conquering all of Gaza," Mordechai told Channel 2, "there is preparation for a ground operation as well, which will be undertaken if it is necessary. The required military units that need to be diverted for such an operation are at the ready," he said.

"The occupation has opened the gates of hell on itself," said a statement from Hamas's Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, which vowed its terrorists would "continue the path of resistance."

The United States is closely watching developments in Gaza following the killing Wednesday of Hamas' military chief in an Israeli air strike, a Pentagon spokesman said.

"We're monitoring the situation closely. We stand by our Israeli partners in their right to defend themselves against terrorism," Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Warren said.

President Barack Obama's national security adviser, Tom Donilon, met Monday with his Israeli counterpart, Yaakov Amidror, at the White House.

ISRAEL STRIKES BACK AFTER SYRIA SHELLING

Israel Israel’s army said it had fired on and hit a Syrian military vehicle on Monday, November 12, after a Syrian mortar shell landed in the Golan Heights—the first time in four decades the Jewish state struck a Syrian target from the strategic plateau and the first time Israel has been drawn militarily into its neighbor’s war, The Wall Street Journal reported. Israel and Syria have respected an internationally patrolled demilitarized zone after the end of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, making the frontier one of Middle East’s quietest. But fire from Syrian battles have been increasingly entering the Golan Heights recently, raising the specter that the area could again become a volatile border zone. The latest exchange also opens the possibility of a troubling new flash point in a war that is already spilling over Syria’s other borders.

GAZA GROUPS POUND ISRAEL WITH OVER 100 ROCKETS

Gaza Israel will not hesitate to launch a major IDF operation against Gaza-based terrorist factions if necessary, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned on Sunday, November 11 – after some 100 rockets hit southern Israel in 24 hours, The Jerusalem Post reported. Rockets wounded three people in Sderot during a barrage fired to coincide with the morning commute to work. Later in the day, a Palestinian rocket scored a direct hit on a factory in Sderot. In the evening, two homes, one in Sderot and another in the Eshkol region, also sustained direct rocket strikes, causing damages, but no injuries. The latest round of violence began when Islamic Jihad terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF Jeep carrying out a routine patrol on the Israeli side of the border on Saturday, striking the vehicle directly and wounding four soldiers.

IRAN LAUNCHES AIR DRILL AS ‘WARNING’ TO ENEMIES

IranIran on Monday, November 12 launched an air defense exercise a general said was aimed at optimizing its deterrent capabilities as well as sending a “strong warning” to those threatening it with military strikes, Agence France Presse reported. The drill, originally scheduled for early October but postponed without an official explanation, comes against a backdrop of growing tension in Gulf, but appears unconnected to an incident last week when two Iranian fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. drone. Some 8,000 troops drawn from the ranks of the Revolutionary Guards, the army and the Basij militia are participating in the drill, which will span four days and cover an area stretching 328,000 square miles in Iran’s eastern regions, according to media reports. Various missile and artillery systems as well as fighter jets and bombers will be used in the exercise, they said.

Following talks with Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi in Cairo, “it has been agreed that the request will be presented on November 29,” Abbas told reporters on Monday, calling for support from Arab states. President Barack Obama told Abbas in a telephone conversation on Sunday that his administration opposes the Palestinian U.N. initiative, and Israeli officials have threatened punitive measures if the Palestinians go ahead with the bid.

  • 140 Rockets and no Response?: By Shmuel Sackett

These two men, Moshe Feiglin and Shmuel Sockett, are the hope of present day Israel in my opinion. Here's an interesting commentary by Shmuel Sockett.

Whether you are a citizen of Israel or not, if you stand with Israel and the GOD of the Bible do whatever you can to support and assist these men!

140 Rockets and no Response?: By Shmuel Sackett

In the last 48 hours, a total of 140 rockets have been fired into southern Israel from enemy territory in Gaza. Schools have been cancelled, businesses have been closed and tens of thousands of Jews are living in bomb shelters as I type these words. 140 rockets.

Earlier in the day I asked 7 random people at a coffee shop in Herziliya Pituach what they felt should be done. As you know, Herziliya Pituach is not known as a place for extreme, rightwing, militants. I must add that all 7 of these people; 5 men and 2 women, were not religious Jews. With that background, here are their answers:

    1) "Give them a 2 hour warning and then bomb the heck out of Gaza."

    2) "Nuke them. If a million die, that's not my problem."

    3) "Send in the army with all its might and end this problem once and for all."

    4) "Bomb them day and night." (This women didn't agree with the 2 hour warning of the first guy)

    5) "Bomb the people responsible". I then explained to this fellow that "the people responsible" hide among children, schools and hospitals and that a proper military strike will kill many innocent civilians, especially children. His answer was, "That's OK with me."

    6) "If we truly have the nuclear bomb, now is the time to use it since it will solve the Gaza problem and also send a strong message to Iran."

    7) "Send in the air force and let them drop bombs until they have nobody left to bomb."

I promise you that these were the responses. Now, let's review. Of the 7 people, we have 4 in favor of bombing Gaza, 1 who wants to send in the army and 2 who want to nuke the place. Nobody said that we should complain to the UN, call Obama for help or issue strongly worded condemnations. They all want serious action and they want it now. I will be the first to admit that this was not a scientific poll but 7 out of 7 Herziliya Pituach coffee shop people want to level Gaza??? That is significant.

So the question of the day is simple: Why is this not happening? Why are we allowing 140 rockets to explode in our cities and towns? Many people have been injured from these rockets – including 4 soldiers, one of whom is fighting for his life! What is holding us back? The people of Israel want it, the IDF is capable of doing it and world is expecting it. Yes, I know what I wrote and will write that again. The world is expecting it! When a country does not seriously retaliate to an enemy who shoots 140 rockets in a span of 48 hours, the world responds with laughter. Who can respect a country that allows that to happen? The world looks at Israel and asks: Where is your self respect? Where is your dignity? And worst of all, where is your Jewish G-d?? What a desecration!

Moshe Feigiln gave the best answer on his Facebook page this morning: "I was listening to the confused and pathetic interviews with the Defense Minister this morning. It is clear as daylight that he has no solutions for the situation in southern Israel. We cannot expect the person who got us into this predicament and built his personal career on the Oslo process - or from someone who joined in at any stage down the line - to extricate us from this quagmire. Those officials who created the concept of dividing the Land of Israel - inventing the "Palestinians" to take it off our hands and make "peace" with us - are incapable of implementing the changes needed to solve the problem now."

In other words, Moshe Feiglin focused on the source of the problem: Israel's weak and ineffective leaders. These leaders are stuck in the mud of the Oslo Peace Process which every one – except them – knows is dead and buried. Of course the rocket attacks can end, and can end quickly! The problem, however, is that if the Oslo process is truly over, they have nothing left to do. These weak leaders have invested everything they had into this one-way street and will not admit to its failure. Instead, they continue to dismantle Jewish towns and neighborhoods – such as in Bet El and Migron – in the hope that this will keep the enemy happy and avoid the next barrage of rockets.

What fools they are! How evil their plan and how much Jewish blood has been spilled on their false prophecies. With Hashem's help this will all change. In two weeks, the Likud party is holding primaries for the order of the Knesset list. This is the chance for the good people of Israel to send many politicians home on early retirement and to elect officials who will represent the will of the people and not the will of the soon-to-be-bankrupt-Ha'aretz.

"Don't worry", I told the 7 coffee drinkers in Herziliya Pituach. "New leadership is heading Israel's way and a true solution to Israel's problems is closer than you think."

Moshe Feiglin needs you to contribute to his campaign NOW. These final days are crucial.

As of Saturday November 10, 2012, 15 States have petitioned the Obama Administration for withdrawal from the United States of America in order to create its own government.

States following this action include: Louisiana, Texas, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and New York. These States have requested that the Obama Administration grant a peaceful withdrawal from the United States.

These citizen generated petitions were filed just days after the 2012 Presidential election.

Louisiana was the first State to file a petition a day after the election by a Michael E. from Slidell, Louisiana. Texas was the next State to follow by a Micah H. from Arlington, Texas.

The government allows one month from the day the petition is submitted to obtain 25,000 signatures in order for the Obama administration to consider the request.

The Texas petition reads as follows:

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

As of 12:46 am, Sunday, signatures obtained by Louisiana, 7,358; Texas, 3,771; Florida, 636; Georgia, 475; Alabama, 834; North Carolina, 792; Kentucky, 467; Mississippi, 475; Indiana, 449; North Dakota, 162; Montana, 440; Colorado, 324; Oregon, 328; New Jersey, 301 and New York, 169. Many more States are expected to follow.

A petition is not searchable at WhiteHouse.gov until 150 signatures have been obtained. It is the originator's responsibility to obtain these signatures.

The Texas petition can be reviewed and/or signed by clicking here.
