  • The Last Pope Resigns! False Prophet next?

    Pope Benedict Resigns!
    The Prophecies of Malachy?

    This is HUGE!!!

The "Nazi Pope" [recall that Pope Benedict was a member of the Hitler Youth and has always shown Fascistic leanings] was recently "vindicated" in this article by the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/feb/09/hitlers-pope-pius-xii-holocaust. Now he is resigning! This has not happened since the Middle Ages!

What's more, according to the Prophecies of Saint Malachy he will be the last pope! We will soon find out if these prophecies are accurate.

According to the Revelation granted to Talmid John by Rebbe Y'shua, the "False Prophet" will almost certainly be the final Pope of Rome (or arguably the one after the last one as he will rule not as "vicar of Christ" but as 'vicar of the Antichrist.'

NOTE THIS CAREFULLY: I AM NOT SAYING THE FALSE PROPHET WILL DEFINITELY ARISE IN April!

I AM SAYING that the man chosen to replace Bishop Benedict should be watched VERY carefully!

I AM SAYING that were I Catholic I would seriously consider leaving that organization now (Revelation 18:4).

I AM saying that if I were a "Bible Believing Christian" I would take a VERY serious look at my beliefs and religion and contrast them with the Judaism of Rebbe Y'shua and his disciples.

I AM saying that Jews would be wise to take a more serious look at who Messiah will be AND WILL NOT BE while the time remains.

Here's an article of the announcement followed by a table of Malachy's Popes.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict shocked the world on Monday by saying he no longer had the mental and physical strength to cope with his ministry, in an announcement that left his aides "incredulous" and will make him the first pontiff to step down since the Middle Ages.

The German-born Pope, 85, hailed as a hero by conservative Roman Catholics and viewed with suspicion by liberals, told cardinals in Latin that his strength had deteriorated recently. He will step down on February 28 and the Vatican expects a new Pope to be chosen by the end of March.

Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said the Pope had not decided to resign because of "difficulties in the papacy" and the move had been a surprise, indicating that even his inner circle was unaware that he was about to quit.

The Pope does not fear schism in the Church after his resignation, the spokesman said.

The Pope's leadership of 1.2 billion Catholics has been beset by child sexual abuse crises that tarnished the Church, one address in which he upset Muslims and a scandal over the leaking of his private papers by his personal butler.

The pope told the cardinals that in order to govern "...both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.

"For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter."

He also referred to "today's world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith."

The last Pope to resign willingly was Celestine V in 1294 after reigning for only five months, his resignation was known as "the great refusal" and was condemned by the poet Dante in the "Divine Comedy". Gregory XII reluctantly abdicated in 1415 to end a dispute with a rival claimant to the papacy.

"NO OUTSIDE PRESSURE," JUST ADVANCING AGE

Before he was elected Pope, the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was known by such critical epithets as "God's rottweiler" because of his stern stand on theological issues.

But after several years into his new job Benedict showed that he not only did not bite but barely even barked.

In recent months, the pope has looked increasingly frail in public, sometimes being helped to walk by those around him.

Lombardi ruled out depression or uncertainty as being behind the resignation, saying the move was not due to any specific illness, just advancing age.

The Pope had shown "great courage, determination" aware of the "great problems the church faces today", he said, adding the timing may have reflected the Pope's desire to avoid the exhausting rush of Easter engagements.

There was no outside pressure and Benedict took his "personal decision" in the last few months, he added.

Israel's Chief Rabbi praised Benedict's inter-faith outreach and wished him good health. The Archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Anglican Church, said he had learned of the Pope's decision with a heavy heart but complete understanding.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the Pope's decision must be respected if he feels he is too weak to carry out his duties. British Prime Minister David Cameron said: "He will be missed as a spiritual leader to millions."

The pontiff would step down from 2 p.m. ET on February 28, leaving the office vacant until a successor was chosen to Benedict who succeeded John Paul, one of history's most popular pontiffs, the spokesman said.

Elected to the papacy on April 19, 2005 when he was 78 - 20 years older than John Paul was when he was elected - Benedict ruled over a slower-paced, more cerebral and less impulsive Vatican.

    MEEK DEMEANOUR, STEELY INTELLECT

But while conservatives cheered him for trying to reaffirm traditional Catholic identity, his critics accused him of turning back the clock on reforms by nearly half a century and hurting dialogue with Muslims, Jews and other Christians.

Under the German's meek demeanor lay a steely intellect ready to dissect theological works for their dogmatic purity and debate fiercely against dissenters.

After appearing uncomfortable in the limelight at the start, he began feeling at home with his new job and showed that he intended to be Pope in his way.

Despite great reverence for his charismatic, globe-trotting predecessor -- whom he put on the fast track to sainthood and whom he beatified in 2011 -- aides said he was determined not to change his quiet manner to imitate John Paul's style.

A quiet, professorial type who relaxed by playing the piano, he managed to show the world the gentle side of the man who was the Vatican's chief doctrinal enforcer for nearly a quarter of a century.

The first German pope for some 1,000 years and the second non-Italian in a row, he traveled regularly, making about four foreign trips a year, but never managed to draw the oceanic crowds of his predecessor.

The child abuse scandals hounded most of his papacy. He ordered an official inquiry into abuse in Ireland, which led to the resignation of several bishops.

    STRING OF SCANDALS

Scandal from a source much closer to home hit in 2012 when the pontiff's butler, responsible for dressing him and bringing him meals, was found to be the source of leaked documents alleging corruption in the Vatican's business dealings, causing an international furor.

He confronted his own country's past when he visited the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz.

Calling himself "a son of Germany", he prayed and asked why God was silent when 1.5 million victims, most of them Jews, died there during World War Two.

Ratzinger served in the Hitler Youth during World War Two when membership was compulsory. He was never a member of the Nazi party and his family opposed Adolf Hitler's regime.

But his trip to Germany also prompted the first major crisis of his pontificate. In a university lecture he quoted a 14th century Byzantine emperor as saying Islam had only brought evil to the world and that it was spread by the sword.

After protests that included attacks on churches in the Middle East and the killing of a nun in Somalia, the Pope later said he regretted any misunderstanding the speech caused.

[JoA: Which of course disproved the allegation!]

In a move that was widely seen as conciliatory, in late 2006 he made a historic trip to predominantly Muslim Turkey and prayed in Istanbul's Blue Mosque with a Turkish Mufti.

But months later, former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami met the Pope and said wounds between Christians and Muslims were still "very deep" as a result of the Regensburg speech.

Hist.: Karol Wojtyla was born on May 18, 1920 during a solar eclipse. He also comes from behind the former Iron Curtain (the East, where the Sun rises). He might also be seen to be the fruit of the intercession of the Woman Clothed with the Sun labouring in Revelation 12 (because of his devotion to the Virgin Mary). His Funeral occurred on 8 April, 2005 when there was a solar eclipse visible in the Americas.
    267 Benedict XVI (2005-) 111 Gloria olivæ
The Benedictine order traditionally said this Pope would come from their order, since a branch of the Benedictine order is called the Olivetans. St Benedict is said to have prophesied that before the end of the world, a member of his order would be Pope and would triumphantly lead the Church in its fight against evil. While the Holy Father chose the name "Benedict", this does not seem enough to fulfil the prophecy. Nor is it clear how Benedict XVI (a Bavarian) is "Glory of the Olives". Since he is said to have remarked in the Conclave after saying he would take the name Benedict that it was partly to honour Benedict XV, a pope of peace and reconciliation, perhaps Benedict XVI will be a peacemaker in the Church or in the World, and thus carry the olive branch.
In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur, & Judex tremêdus judicabit populum suum. Finis.
(In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.)

  • I find it difficult to believe that the Catholic Church or that the Pope is going to be a major player in end times events.  What I see is the office of the Pope becoming progressively more irrelevant and impotent.  I read that same article today and have also blogged on it.  Looks like that guy was kissing up to Islam.  I could be wrong on that, but to me he seemed like more of a clown than a leader.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - Time will tell my friend.

In my opinion the New Testament prophecies are very clear that the final Roman Pontiff will be the False Prophet to the coming Antichrist.
In my opinion the New Testament prophecies are very clear that when this happens the global power structure known as "Babylon the Great" will arise as Rome unites the religions of the world under the coming Rex Mundi (Antichrist).

The rest is conjecture in my opinion.

The Malachy Prophecies are arguably accurate thus far and they have the Papacy ending with Benedict. Then the next "Pope" (who isn't really a pope) emerges "and the formidable Judge [Either God or Messiah, its not clear] will judge the earth.

    We'll see what comes next.

  • @johnofallfaith - True.  You know, I always just assumed that "Babylon" mentioned in Revelation was literally Babylon.  I mean, call me slow, but Rome was around back then, so I figured that if they were talking about Rome they would have just stated Rome.  Do you suppose the new world religion could be a marriage of Islam and evolution?

But you know it is interesting that this guy retired.  I believe that normally they die in office.  It makes me wonder if maybe this guy is questioning his faith.

  • Many people thought Pope Benedict was the false prophet....So, we'll just have to wait and see....This new Pope could very well be the false prophet....

  • Howdy,
As I read the prophecies, a global catastrophe is going happen leaving the world reeling. Precisely what will cause this chaos remains to be seen (maybe the final fall of the former US, a nuclear war, a global famine, an Islamist conquest...). However from amidst this chaos a European Jew will arise and appear to be the answer man. He will ascend to lead the now dawning Global Union. The "False Prophet" will unite the Nicolaitan heresy sects with Rome and then bring all religions, including Islam, Hinduism, etc. into acceptance of the Great Leader as NWO potentate. The leader will then establish a peace treaty for Israel and the Global Union and the chief rabbinate of Jerusalem (and most Jews other than a 144,000) will embrace the Leader as Messiah. Once this treaty is signed 7 years will remain before the Kingdom of HaShem is established. During this 7 year period 3/4 of life on earth will die.

Individual teachings and practices like evolution, infanticide etc are symptoms not causes. The False Prophet will establish an egalitarian and inclusive structure that most everyone will be able to accept. Such beliefs and practices will probably remain optional. The essential point will be the singular authority of the Great Leader who will be presented/developed as messiah, the second coming of Jesus, the 12th imam, avatar Kalki, Maitreya Buddha etc.

Again, time will tell but I believe we are getting very close.

  • @ellie1945 - Many people thought Ratzinger was, I didn't. Many thought Reagan, Bush or Obama was the Antichrist, I didn't/don't. We must stick tightly with the prophecies. We wont know the False Prophet nor the Antichrist until they meet certain very specific qualifications. In recent history only Hitler has come close in my opinion.

And I'm not saying his successor will be the False Prophet. Only that IF the Malachy prophecies prove accurate the next Pope will be interesting to keep an eye on. We will probably be in Israel when the smoke goes up (we're leave April 9th).

    We'll see.

  • Very interesting Bro John, thank you for sharing it. We shall know soon.

  • @Lewis1122 - Thank Lewis, May HaShem continue to guide and bless you.

  • @johnofallfaith - Sounds reasonable.  My theory is that the great catastrophe that touches off these events and makes people amenable to world government will be an asteroid striking the Earth.

BTW, why would anyone think Reagan was the anti-Christ?  That has to be one of the most insane things ever.  Obama I can see.  I mean, I don't believe he is the anti-Christ but I can see how some people would think that.  But Reagan?

  • I am a born Catholic but in my view, this Pope nor the ones previous to him have lived the life that Jesus preached. They live in the Vatican in luxury which was completely different to what Jesus did. So whether it be this Pope or the one to come next, I don't believe any of them to be true Christians.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - An asteroid is certainly a possibility. Others believe it may be an alien invasion... time will tell.

While Reagan was honored by most Conservatives he was despised by most liberals and others. It was he that opened the economic doors to China. That opening is largely responsible for what happened to our economy... also there is a pointless coincidence that the name Ronald Wilson Reagan = 6,6 and 6 numerically (in English). Again, I never bought into that none sense, but living in California I am familiar with the People's Park Murder he ordered. I was working at the free clinic in Berkeley and had to help deal with the thousands of mentally and physically disabled people he ordered dumped in our town. I'm not a Reagan supporter.

  • @angys_coco - For the most part I agree with you, although there were a few that served with honor. Its the power structure that the prophecies focus on. There are and have been innumerable good, sincere Catholics who have in many ways blessed the world.

    Shalom and thanks for posting

  • @johnofallfaith - Ah yes.  My mom suggested that the anti-Christ might either be an alien or pose as one.  It makes sense when you think about it. All the useful idiots and chattel minded people who voted for Obama have made such a big constant deal about him being PART black.  They are always playing that up, and I have never seen the media gush over a Democrat so much as they do for Obama.  Imagine if some world leader came who was not even human.  All those same idiots would really gush over that, and all the fruitcakes would try to deify him, just like they have done with Obama.

BTW, I wrote an entry about aliens.  Don't know if you saw it or not but do let me know what you think: http://ambrosius-augustus-rex.xanga.com/771281911/alien-life/

  • Thanks. I'll check it out.

  • Wondering if Obama was voted on because he was part black, or did people vote more against Romney, fearing he would be like Bush and finish off America?

  • @johnofallfaith -

Yes John according to many prophecies the next pope will be the Anti-pope...the Beast of Revelations.. and will ally himself with the Anti-Christ. Of course I will know this better than you if this is true because the teachings will change. The true Catholic Church will go underground as it did in the first centuries. To everyone else, who isn't in the 'know', he will appear to be a good person.

Of course I have to be careful because many said the same thing after the last Pope and they were wrong.

    Shalom

  • @angys_coco -

The Vatican is a museum..Ive been in there. John Paul's 11's apartment was stark, so stated all of his doctors and the media.  The room contained a single bed and a dresser.  Probably Benedict's is the same.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex -

Youre right about the asteroid...Not sure at this moment at what point that hits.  I'll check on the prophecies

  • @Gabriel333 - I don't think we can know at what point it hits, but it does say in Revelation that he saw something like a flaming mountain thrown into the sea.  In addition I keep seeing articles about how this or that asteroid is coming near Earth.  The sad thing is, that this is something that could probably be averted, but won't be, because the NWO can use the crisis to their advantage.  Just like how the Democrats are saying "never let a good crisis go to waste."  God is going to judge those people with severe ferocity.  My hope is that I will not have to live through those times.  If it's going to happen in my lifetime then it's better for the asteroid to fall on my house.  But of course, it's going to fall in the ocean, so no luck there.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex -

Hi...I am following prophecies which are warning of many things before they happen.  I do know the exactly what is to come to the world and the antidote...but will people listen and be saved?  It is going to happen in your lifetime...in fact within the next three years!

    God Bless

  • @Gabriel333 - What are you thinking will happen and what is the logic behiind your assumption?

  • @Lewis1122 - Probably both and more. For the first time in my life I didn't vote in a presidential election (I voted for other stuff but not for president). I could not bring myself to vote for a non-citizen Al Ikhwan covert operative nor for a fascist who made his billions selling out American jobs and openly planed to destroy our retirement and safety net and sell the country to the highest bidder... and then he added Ryan as salt in the intended wounds! Oy!

Some voted for Barry Soetoro again because they wrongly think he is Black (he's not, he's mainly Arab and Bavarian), but according to most polls he no longer had the votes to be elected. A lot of people either voted for him, threw away their votes for a third party challenger, or like me just didn't vote because the Republicans ran such a truly horrible candidate (and without even allowing us in California and other states to cast a vote in the primaries about it!). I'm just surprised it wasn't a landslide for Obama. As you know I began predicting Obama would win for a couple of months before the election.

  • @Gabriel333 - Hi Gabriel,

Gab: Yes John according to many prophecies
the next pope will be the Anti-pope...the Beast of Revelations.. and
will ally himself with the Anti-Christ. Of course I will know this
better than you if this is true because the teachings will change. The
true Catholic Church will go underground as it did in the first
centuries. To everyone else, who isn't in the 'know', he will appear to
    be a good person.

Of course I have to be careful because many said the same thing after the last Pope and they were wrong.

    JoA: Thanks for your insight.
The False Prophet or "anti-Pope" will serve the AntiChrist, who is the beast (although John does refer to the False Prophet as a second beast due to his proximity). I expect many Catholics and others will go underground at that point as you say. Such devout people will be part of the Great Multitude who will serve along with the 144,000 Israelites.

    Shalom

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - A slight clarification (from my perspective only of course). The "Mountain" object that is thrown into sea according to Navi John  comes in the second half of the tribulation. The events we are discussing will already be unfolding at that point. That should therefore be an additional catastrophe.

In any case, we all need to "keep our lamps filled" and ready. The timetable MAY be about to kick into high gear.

    Shalom

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex -  --- I've been reciting that mantra a lot lately LOL

I am convinced that we can know the overview of what is happening and what is coming, but the specifics, the day to day details, are not generally so clear. Fascinating days to be alive these are

  • @johnofallfaith - Interesting yes, but also frightening and disturbing.  We are seeing prophecies line up but we are also seeing more of the ugly side of human nature as well.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - True enough.

There is a VERY dark and severe storm before the coming dawn of true light. At best we have caught fleeting glimpses thus far.No one wants to endure what is coming, no sane person wants to see the coming devastation, but come it will ansd we do best to be prepared for it.

  • @johnofallfaith - BTW, didn't see you online last night.  Did something come up?

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - Shabbat shalom,

    Thanks for your thoughts.
My apologies for not being on as planned. Something came up and we were at the synagogue much of the evening. We didn't get home until late and then we were out much of today as well.

I should be on most of tomorrow (Saturday). We will be having our Second Life get together at 1 PM Pacific (http://yeshivabethhashem.org/SecondLife) and on Skype much of the day. I look forward to speaking with you again.

    Peace, Love and Light
