JERUSALEM (JTA) -- A rocket fired from Gaza struck the metropolitan Tel Aviv area.

The rocket fell in Holon on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv, according to reports, after warning sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak on Thursday evening.  It was the first time since the Gulf War in 1990 that a warning siren was sounded in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, according to reports.

There was no damage or injuries, Ynet reported. Islamic Jihad reportedly took responsibility for the attack, which came two hours after two rockets struck Rishon Lezion, located about 10 miles south of Tel Aviv.

More than 140 rockets fired from Gaza have struck southern Israel since the assassination of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari on Wednesday evening.

  • I watched news and how those in Gaza acted like they it was all unexpected, how ignorant they seem to be. Even nature teaches us if you pull the tail of a dog enough it will turn and bite. How long can they keep up allowing Hamas to use Gaza as a place to attack Israel from before they realize who the real enemy is?

  • @Lewis1122 - Maybe not much longer. Read my current blog (the repost of rav Sacket's piece: http://johnofallfaith.xanga.com/769703557/i-hate-these-names-by-shmuel-sackett )

May HaShem protect Israel, May they take back more of their land than before through these actions and may they ALWAYS be victorious and May HaShem protect Jews wherever they my be.
