IN THIS ISSUE ISRAEL STRIKES BACK AFTER SYRIA SHELLING Israel’s army said it had fired on and hit a Syrian military vehicle on Monday, November 12, after a Syrian mortar shell landed in the Golan Heights—the first time in four decades the Jewish state struck a Syrian target from the strategic plateau and the first time Israel has been drawn militarily into its neighbor’s war, The Wall Street Journal reported. Israel and Syria have respected an internationally patrolled demilitarized zone after the end of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, making the frontier one of Middle East’s quietest. But fire from Syrian battles have been increasingly entering the Golan Heights recently, raising the specter that the area could again become a volatile border zone. The latest exchange also opens the possibility of a troubling new flash point in a war that is already spilling over Syria’s other borders.
GAZA GROUPS POUND ISRAEL WITH OVER 100 ROCKETS Israel will not hesitate to launch a major IDF operation against Gaza-based terrorist factions if necessary, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned on Sunday, November 11 – after some 100 rockets hit southern Israel in 24 hours, The Jerusalem Post reported. Rockets wounded three people in Sderot during a barrage fired to coincide with the morning commute to work. Later in the day, a Palestinian rocket scored a direct hit on a factory in Sderot. In the evening, two homes, one in Sderot and another in the Eshkol region, also sustained direct rocket strikes, causing damages, but no injuries. The latest round of violence began when Islamic Jihad terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF Jeep carrying out a routine patrol on the Israeli side of the border on Saturday, striking the vehicle directly and wounding four soldiers.
IRAN LAUNCHES AIR DRILL AS ‘WARNING’ TO ENEMIES Iran on Monday, November 12 launched an air defense exercise a general said was aimed at optimizing its deterrent capabilities as well as sending a “strong warning” to those threatening it with military strikes, Agence France Presse reported. The drill, originally scheduled for early October but postponed without an official explanation, comes against a backdrop of growing tension in Gulf, but appears unconnected to an incident last week when two Iranian fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. drone. Some 8,000 troops drawn from the ranks of the Revolutionary Guards, the army and the Basij militia are participating in the drill, which will span four days and cover an area stretching 328,000 square miles in Iran’s eastern regions, according to media reports. Various missile and artillery systems as well as fighter jets and bombers will be used in the exercise, they said.
ABBAS: PALESTINIANS TO FORGE AHEAD WITH U.N. BID Palestinian Authority President Mahmud Abbas has announced that the Palestinian Authority will present its bid for non-state U.N. membership, despite U.S. and Israeli opposition, Agence France Presse reported Tuesday, November 13. Following talks with Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi in Cairo, “it has been agreed that the request will be presented on November 29,” Abbas told reporters on Monday, calling for support from Arab states. President Barack Obama told Abbas in a telephone conversation on Sunday that his administration opposes the Palestinian U.N. initiative, and Israeli officials have threatened punitive measures if the Palestinians go ahead with the bid.

Wow Bro John! Like building a house of cards, eventually you know it is going to fall, you can tell a big war is coming. As I have commented before about opening that door and allowing that foot in, the Arabs have got a huge foot in the UN and will support PA at their bid of recognition, so to will some of the European countries. Once they get recognized then they will start filling legal law suits against Israel trying to force them into submission, with the UN backing PA. America should just pull all support out of the UN. Israel might be fighting many countries at one time, and this time those countries are a little more equipped. I almost think that Egypt would jump right in against Israel if a war breaks out.
@Lewis1122 - Yep.
I've never thought the US should be involved in the UN and that NATO should have been disbanded at the end of WW2. Its a violation of the US Constitution to grant another country (or group of countries) such authority over us.
My reading of the prophecies is that the USA is never mentioned anywhere in them. I can only fathom how/why this would be based on the premise that the US will not be a political power as the final seven years begins. As the US government advances its betrayal of Israel we are signing our own collective death warrants.
@johnofallfaith - Thats what I see also, that America is choosing a path they shall regret. Perhaps that if/when a war breaks out in the middle East America will finacially collapse.
@johnofallfaith - I just read the report 50 rockets fired at Israel from Gaza, soon Israel will be going into Gaza. I also read in which Egypt already went to UN complaining about Israel's illegal actions as they described it.
@Lewis1122 - That's the story as I understand it. Israeli troops are now being deployed. Obama's support of the Muslim Brotherhood taking over Egypt is resulting in an invasion of Israel as we expected.
Pray for Israel's defense and victory over ALL enemies!
Pray that Americans wake up and stand with them before it too late for us as a nation.
I just read where 12 EU states are supporting the PA in their bid. EU seems to be encouraging trouble, they always are siding with the enemies of Israel. I do pray for Israel and America, and then watch the tribulations that each go through trying to open the masses eyes.
@Lewis1122 - The EU is falling to l Ikhwan faster than the US is. They, like the current government of Israel, seem to think they can appease Islam by capitulation. Very sad...
